In vitro study	Estradiol cypionate is a natural estrogen, a synthetic ester of Estradiol. Compared to other commonly used estradiol esters, estradiol cypionate was found to have the longest duration of action of 11 days by intramuscular injection, the duration of action of Estradiol benzoate and estradiol valerate was 4-5 and 7-8 days, respectively. Estradiol cypionate has several uses in bovine medicine. These include treatment of follicular cyst deficiency without desire, persistent corpus luteum, pyometra, and placental retention. Possibly, ECP is beneficial for high-risk postpartum diseases, stimulating uterine contractions by directly or maintaining the oxytocin receptor site in the uterus, and promoting more WBCs to the site of infection by increasing uterine blood flow, enhances uterine immune function by increasing bacterial phagocytosis, or movement of IgA and IgG to the uterine cavity, or by delaying cervical closure to promote uterine drainage.
